The Krishnapatnam police (Nellore district) have booked a case against former Minister and member of the Chandrababu Naidu Cabinet, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, for theft and forgery.
The police on receiving a complaint from an IT startup booked the cases against the former Minister.
The IT firm charged Mr Chandramohan of stealing data from its website and also providing false information about the company to the public. The police booked cases under section 379 (theft), 468 (forgery) IPC and also under provisions of the Information Technology Act against the former Minister.
The Vijayawada police filed a fresh case against former TDP MLA and confidant of N Chandrababu Naidu, Dulipalla Narendra, for violation of Covid protocol for conducting a conference with more than 20 people during curfew time. While the curfew begins at 12 noon Mr Narendra conducted a meeting with Sangam Dairy board members and officials for the whole day.
Mr Narendra is out on bail after being arrested in a case filed by the Anti-corruption Bureau(ACB) for the financial irregularities in Sangam Dairy for which he is the chairman.
A wide range of cases are pending against few other important TDP leaders like Atchannaidu, Ayyannapatrudu and Kollu Ravindra who have all been arrested and released on bail.
Former labour minister and current TDP deputy floor leader in the State Assembly Kinjarapu Atchannaidu was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at his residence in Srikakulam district early Friday for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) scam.
Former Andhra Pradesh minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Kollu Ravindra was arrested in the murder case of former market yard chairman and YSRCP leader M Bhaskar Rao. Bhaskar Rao, close to Andhra Pradesh’s Information Minister Perni Nani, was murdered on June 29, 2021. It is said that the YSRCP leader M Bhaskar Rao was stabbed with a cyanide-laced knife which led to his immediate death.
Police have registered cases against former TDP Minister Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu for allegedly using foul language against Narsipatnam Municipal Commissioner during a protest.
The Narsipatnam town police booked cases under various IPC Sections, including the Nirbhaya Act, based on a complaint filed by town Municipal Commissioner K. Krishnaveni.
